Weird Electrical Issues: key fob and sunroof
Hey guys, new to the forum as a member but I frequent in the shadows lol
I’ve been having some odd issues with my 2010 G37x. 2 main issues:
1. My key fob is hardly recognized by my car. If I walk up to the car and press unlock it'll work, however, once I jump into the car it takes about 30 seconds for it to recognize the key, saying “no key”. Also, when I drive and then park the car, with it still running, it'll also briefly say “no key” for about 7 or so seconds. And what’s most annoying, when I get somewhere and park the car, once I get out and close the doors, the car wont lock or recognize me pressing the lock button on the fob or the door handle button to lock the car for at least 30 seconds. I assume theres some issue with a receiver getting commands.
2. My second issue is with my sunroof. It has this weird issue where it wont work at all unless I press the tilt button 10-15 times quickly in a row, then it magically starts working, and in that direction. I have yet to find anywhere on the internet with the same issue. Once I do the sequence it works fine, but it'll stop working a day or so later.
Both these issues are about 4 months old, and I bought the car about a year ago. Everything was fine previously. I bought and installed a dash cam that hooks up to my cigarette lighter, and it sticks on right next to the rear-view mirror. I don’t know if that could be blocking anything.
Solutions I’ve tried:
Replacing batteries in both my key fobs, same issues.
I’ve also done the reset sequence on the sunroof, that hasn’t done anything.
I bought a new car battery recently, unrelated to these issues, that hasn't solved anything.
Any help is much appreciated! I can also send videos if need be.

If I were to guess, it sounds like you may have a issue with one/more of the antenna sensors that detect your iKey. There are several: exterior door handle, center console, dashboard, trunk. There is no easy way to test w/out the CONSULT (dealer) software.
When the NO KEY warning comes on, try sliding your fob into the key slot and see if the warning goes away/returns when you remove the key.
Re: sunroof, could be a switch going bad. I do not know offhand if the switch can be removed and the contacts cleaned but that would be my first step.
