G37 Sedan Ignition Problem

Hey guys i have 2011 G37 sedan with 60k miles that I bought used out of warranty 3 months ago, the car has been solid and i’ve had no problems with it until recently. A month ago I had the keyfob in my pocket like normal and i pushed the outside door unlock button to get in like normal but when i got inside the car and put my foot on the brake and pushed the button to turn the car on, the dash said “No key detected” and the button wouldnt leave the OFF position after i pushed it. I put the key fob in the ignition slot above my left knee, It still said “No key detected”. I replaced the key fob battery still no luck. I thought the problem was the key fob so I hired a key programmer that my buddy knows to reprogram a new key. The guy made me two new keys and programmed them both and they both worked fine. A couple weeks ago I locked my car and as soon as i shut my door the car beeped about 15 times in 2 seconds. I thought it was odd so i clicked the unlock button on the key fob to get back inside the car but he car wouldnt unlock. The car was acting up just as it did before i got it programmed. The programmmer came back and reprogrammed my keys again free of charge and thought my situation was od. The keys have unprogrammed themselves again and the car left me stranded for the second time and i had to trailor it back home. To me it seems like the key fob is unprogramming itself but i don’t know why. I have also tried disconnected the car battery for a few minutes and reconnected it and the problem is still there and i have also check all the fuses in the fuse box and the fuses where the red terminal connects to the battery and everything seems to be fine but i still can’t start the car. If anyone knows what the problem might be please let me know what to try. Thanks ya’ll

I believe the key registry is held in the Body Control Module which most likely has it's own small internal battery (like a computer) meant to hold memory even when the main power is disconnected. Your weird symptom points to a problem with the BCM. I can't think of any external reason why it should be forgetting the keys.

Sounds like it could be a issue with the ECU that is responsible for memorizing the key codes. Transponder/ immobilizer related ECU.

Infiniti dealership or specialist may be your only options. If you get it solved please let us know what happened.

I'd pull your passenger side floormats and see if or how bad your BCM got dripped on. Generally, if your BCM is faulty due to the sunroof drain plug seal failing you would get random electrical issues as well. Random lights flashing on your dash, etc. It's tight, but easy to replace the passenger side drain plug if that's part of the issue.
