My car was recently hit bad enough to necessitate some moderate body repair, including the rear bumper cover needing to be pulled and according to body shop either repaired or replaced.
I have a non-Sport trim coupe, so it has the bumpers that I don't really like. That got me to thinking that I could take this opportunity to have the bumpers and side skirts upgraded. If I get new OEM parts, they'll all need to be re-painted because my car, NAH, never had these parts available for this color code.
I have searched around and settled on:
IPL side skirts (OEM)
"Aero Kit" rear bumper (OEM)
"Sport" front bumper (OEM)
Big question, as I know the body shop will balk if there's too much hassle for them: if I have the bumper covers, front and rear swapped, are there any parts under the bumper covers that need to change also? Such as impact beam, clips, foam absorber? Or, are the covers straight-up exchangeable?
How about side skirts? Are those a direct swap?
This body shop has agreed to do this kind of work for me before, when my Titan was wrecked they worked with me to replace all of the SE parts to Pro-4x parts since there wasn't any under-the-skin differences. I really hope that's the same case for my coupe!
Here's a pic of my car pre-accident, I believe since it has OEM fogs it already has the "slim washer bottle" (is that right?):
