Pulling out of a parking lot and the other driver swerved into my lane and wrecked half the front of my car.

The bumper will need to be replaced, as well as some other parts (lights, hood) I wanted to see if I can swing it through the body shop or my insurance company if I can get the newer bumper or a custom IPL type bumper. I'd make up the difference in cost. Does anyone have experience with this? Where can I find some custom bumpers for the G coupe (08)

 

yes I am a bodyman and painter at a local shop in Johnson city, TN. start researching for the bumper you want and where it is and how much it is and if its in stock. all the body shop cares is that they get paid. Just have it ready for them. The shop if they are a direct repair for your insurance company will be able to write the estimate. If not the insurance company will write it. Either way they will give a set price for the bumper at oem retail. if you can find the sport or IPL bumper cheaper well you will have money in your pocket or money for them fixing any blemishes to the bumper. DONT GO WITH A BODY KIT. they are garbage and the fiberglass is always a issue or the urethane is of crappy quality and VERY poor fittment. Sorry to hear about your G. I just got mine
