I had a 2010 G37 sedan manual previously and recently just picked up a 2012 couple manual and enjoying it very much.

Just found out that while i have the key fob on me, the driver side exterior door rubber button does not lock or unlock doors. It does work perfectly on passenger side door though. I have no issue using key fob to lock/unlock/starting car, has anyone experiencing similar problem?

 

Assuming you can operate the passenger door and the trunk using the request switch(es), then the issue is either a bad switch, a bad antenna/receiver, or a wiring issue.

My guess, bad request switch. However, if either the switch or antenna is bad, sadly, the whole handle has to be replaced. Those components are non-serviceable separately.
