There is a 2012 G37 "IPL" nearby that's for sale, however looking at the pictures, I noticed that it has both an IPL badge as well as an XS badge on the rear. I thought they only made the IPL in RWD?

If the car is AWD, it is NOT a IPL. The previous owner likely slapped a few IPL badges on their xS for "aesthetics."

100% correct. No AWD IPL. Ever any way at all. Seems cheap to me to have the IPL badges on it.

 

The IPL had a very distinctive rear bumper, and that ain't it.

Depends on what the OP is in the market for. If OP specifically wants a IPL, then most definitely walk away. If OP is in the market for a Coupe, xS or otherwise.... investigate and negotiate.

I was looking at the one OP posted trying to figure it, but it's good to see yours right next to it to compare. I only ever really see my own from behind so I'm not too familiar with the normal rear bumper lol.

Are those BlueBat overlays on your tails? I just put mine on and wasn't sure if I wanted to cut out the hole for the trunk release button. If they are, it looks like you left it so how does the button feel?

 

Nah, no overlays. They are painted. I guess I never really paid attention to the trunk button on the ones with overlays......hmm....dang it, now I have to go find some and look. Lol

 

They never made an IPL AWD. sorry bud.
