Does it cost an arm and a leg for G37S maintenance?

I was looking for a G37 Sport Coupe but ended up with a 2007 G35 Sport Sedan with 150K miles. I have all the repair records since new. The first 100K had mainly routine maintenance services so I will start from 100K. Please let me know if I purchased a lemon and be prepared to loose an arm and a leg.

This 2007 G35 S Sedan was born in Japan but have been raised in Southern California its entire life. So the car looks almost new for its age.
The first owner kept the car until 130K miles and sold it. The second owner kept the car for 20K miles and sold it to me.

It looks like the car was trouble free until 110K miles:·
111K – Replace Alternator belt, A/C and Power steering Belt, auto tensioner and idle pulleys. $1000
112K – Replace after market PS pump $700
116K – Replace front brake rotors plus pads and cabin filter $1150
123K – Replace 4 Tires $1300,
TPMS sensor - $250
Lower Coolant hose + comprehensive coolant service - $380
125K – Car fish tailed and hit the curb. VSC came on and stayed on. Wheel alignment required and reprogram steering angle sensor to zero to clear the sensor. $200
126K – Replace AC compressor assembly and AC condenser $850.
127K – Bulb lights burned out above 3000 rpms - Still burned out today.
130K – Performed Oil change. Fed up with the constant expensive repairs for the past 20K miles. Sold the car.

The second owner used the car for 20K miles in 1 year and put the car up for sales.
Reason for selling, 3rd child on the way and need a bigger car. No problems during these 20K miles.
When I went pick up the car, I saw his kids with his 8 months pregnant wife. Super nice family. So he was truthful in needing a bigger car.
He pointed out that he had a small coolant leak a few weeks back. Took the car to an Infiniti dealership for an inspection and repaired the leak.
The inspection report identified the following issues:

Front brake at 9mm
Rear brake at 1mm - recommend replacement
Right subframe shows leak – Need replace + align.
Steering and suspension need attention - There's no recommended repair so I am not sure what attention I need to pay.
PS fluid and Brake fluid look dirty - Recommend replacement.
Radiator hose leaking - Repaired

The 3rd owner, me, picked up the car yesterday. Drove the car for 2 hours without a destination. Test drove the car on high ways,
local roads, and canyon roads. The car was a blast to drive, it runs straight when I let go the steering wheel. The previous owner took out the mufflers
so the car was extremely loud every time I stepped on the gas, but quiet at cruising speed.

Based on the maintenance record, the clutch has not been replaced. So I guess I would need to spend an arm (may be just a few fingers) to replace the clutch in the near future.

Based on the repair records, do you think this is normal for the 2007 G35 Sport Sedan model? Should I be expecting many more problems on the way?

I want in on the Scotty bashing!

He is DEFINITELY an idiot! The final straw for me was when he was rambling about a Solara coupe (I had one many moons ago) and he kept saying "FAN BELT" over and over and over. So, as a former ASE tech myself, the moment someone calls the accessory belt on a FWD car "fan belt" over and over, they are an immediate idiot.

As for reliability, as other's have said, it's a darn simple Nissan. RWD. Basic transmissions. Basic PS systems. Basic braking systems.
The only issues off of the top of my head:
The headlights that follow the steering wheel may cease to follow steering wheel when older (Nissan abandoned this in later cars, like my 2014)
Electric locking steering wheels may fail and cause a no-start (Nissan abandoned this in later cars, like my 2014)
Oil galley gasket (Nissan resolved this sometime in 2012)
The dash will probably goo up on you. So will the dash in many similar year Lexus vehicles.
Sunroof drain.

Other than that, rock solid cars. I have a 2014, for my car I only have one flaw to worry about: someday the dash will goo up. Nissan exorcised most of the demons after 2012. If my dash gets sticky, and if they are still available, I will likely replace it with a new one. It's not like the car was very expensive to buy. I have owned mine 2 years now and it hasn't needed a thing. My 2016 GTI I had was in the shop a dozen times by 2 years old and needed a new transmission at 20K miles.

Many Nissans are not good cars. Some are. G, Z, Armada, Titan are all good Nissans.
The FWD CVT cars/suvs are junk.

G-37S are great

We bought a 2013 G-37S 6MT new that now has 49,000 miles.
Have not had any mechanical problems at all.
Only expenses have been replacing one set of tires and a battery once. We are careful to maintain it well.
It is a blast to drive and we really like how it looks.
It handles very well, and the brakes are great.
It has sufficient power, although a few more ponies would be nice. A heavy foot will quickly drive down fuel economy
Our model came will all extras that year. My main complaint is that it does not have a compass like the sedan, and the one in the NAV is lame. Retrofitting one like the sedan will require rewiring.
Would buy it again without hesitation.

The G37S was a very solid car for me. I bought it new in 2008 and just recently sold it with 154k miles. It was maintained very well and I followed break in procedure per Infiniti guide lines (I know there are two school of thoughts on break in, but I thought I couldn't go wrong following what they recommended). I drove it moderately (I took it to a few auto crosses and CoTA). Definitely did not baby it, but also did not drive it like I stole it... somewhere in between. The only thing I had to replace was the a/c compressor (at 150k miles lol). I also had full bolt ons minus headers without a tune.

I've had my 2015 Q60 for over a year and it has been very low cost to maintain so far. Although I do a lot of work myself.
