Shopping for a used G37S - how much to pay?
New to the forum here. Just sold my 08 Evo X and looking to get into a G37S 6MT. I've driven several of them now in Northern California, but haven't settled on one yet. My question for you all -- what are these cars worth right now on the market? Are these selling below KBB values? Or?
I've looked at the whole range, some with just Premium pkg, and others fully loaded. Some had as little as 12k miles, but others up to 40k miles. Some really clean, others with some dings and chips here and there. Asking prices ranged from $27k to $33k.
I'm thinking I can buy a G37S 6MT with something like 25k miles or so for $28k (don't care what options it has).
Sound reasonable?

That sounds like a reasonable goal. The only thing I hate about used cars is many dealerships are not as willing to negotiate on them since they are unique items. If you find one with the mileage and options you like, it's not like you can say you will get that exact same car at another dealership. Good luck in your search. Do a quick search on Carmax. They are a little overpriced, but gives you a general base line.

I just had a bad experience at CarMax. I paid to have a G37 shipped to my local store. It was a G37S 6MT with 34k miles for $27k. When it arrived I did a thorough inspection to discover that the front bumper was repainted (poorly at that with overspray on the headlights and under panels), and the rear quarter panel had been repainted (with some nice orange peel to show for it). That was all a deal breaker. They made good and refunded the shipping charge. But, it does say something about CarMax -- buyer beware. I feel sorry for whoever bought it -- probably wouldn't catch those paint issues unless they knew what to look for.

I got mine for $26,500 for a g37s loaded up with every option 6speed manual, 24k. Car looks like it came out of the showroom, not a nick or scratch on it. Guess i found a gem as it took me 5 months to find private sale and some ****ering. My best option is search autotrader and cars.com. If you dont mind traveling to pick-up a car private sale you can save some money.

08 coupe 6MT sport w/nav. Paid 21k at an auction but has 54k . Car is in 9 out of 10 condition with a few nicks on the trunk from rocks I assume flying over car on highway. I know I have high miles but its summer weekend car for me and still under warranty I could not pass up the price to get into such a nice car. Oh ya new tires as well on her.
