$4650.... What did I get myself into? (Long read)
You did but not by much,
you see this is a 2nd gen coupe with great paint. The body lines appear to be lining up and so far you're only having EVAP issues.
These are really great cars, coupes specially. They're very sexy cars and desired also.
You have to understand these were 40k vehicles at one point, I bought a 2010 sedan sport for $1500 with much more problems. My friend bought a 2011 coupe rebuilt for that cost him 5k overall.
Very difficult for these cars to be be purchased under 4k under 150k miles with a straight body.

my '09 sedan cost me $10, but it's in great condition. Seems like a great buy, the evap stuff should be simple once you get into it.
my dad got himself a '10 coupe X for $14000CAD, so you've done pretty well!

Yeah that’s how much they are around here in Portland, OR. Hell 03-06 G35s are mostly over $3k here. What area do you live in?
Livin in the GTA in Ontario! Prices have been prettt steady here, most of them are going for $13-14k (Canadian moneys) with decent mileage and year.
Update: the charcoal plug was dirty and not inserted correctly. Didn’t take long to get it fixed up and codes fixed. Got it passed through DEQ today and got plates and tags for it.
Yeah it might take me a while to find one but I’m looking. The other issue is that the there is no audio in the car. From what I’ve read sounds like it’s probably the amp. If so I’ll just get an aftermarket sound system as that would be just as much to replace the Bose.
Amp
Start here.
Remove the three nuts.
Uncover the amp location.
That’s the Bose amp.
