UGH, road kill
Haha probably! I see a couple of Gs semi-regularly during my commute and I always wonder if they're a NJ forum member.
I was helping a friend do a motor swap in his car and found a dead squirrel jammed between the muffler and frame. He was like oh damn I totally forgot I ran that thing over. Weirdest find to date while working on a car...oh and the baggy of cocaine in a customers car...that was an interesting phone call
At least you're not out there dealing with it yourself...
A month or so ago, somebody hit a deer in front of our house. Unfortunately, it didn't kill it right there, on the state road, where a crew, presumably and eventually, would deal with it. No... It managed to drag itself into the woods about 100' from the house and die overnight. It must have been there a few days before we (the dogs) found it as it was getting pretty ripe. I got the tractor in there with the front loader and scooped up the parts. Thank goodness the diesel exhaust helped mask the smell driving out of the woods. I didn't really want to deal with digging a hole, lime, etc. and wasn't sure if I dumped it back on the road, if and when they'd get it. If I dragged it further into the woods, I knew the dogs would just find it again, or the neighbors dogs... So I called a local company that deals with wildlife "problems", usually involving live critters... But they came out for a few bucks, dumped it in the guys pickup... and gone.
