I seriously wanted to flip out every shop I went to it was ridiculous! But in the end the place I found honestly is over and above anything I would've expected and their customer service there is unbelievable so I'm happy memories for the time being. We'll see what happens the day of, when I drop off the car lol

Paint job isnt pretty but its functional
Looking good dude!!!! Let us know if any rubbing occurs and how that bumper holds up. Also what specific wheels and tires are you running on the IPL?

I ran into the same issue when I installed some vossen wheels. I don't know if I should cut it or get more camber so the tire won't be rubbing on the bracket. I am afraid that the rear fender will fall will come loose in that spot if I cut the bracket.

I trimmed mine to the very edge and haven't had any issues whatsoever with my.rear fender. They're stronger than you think.

Thanks Kenny. I am going to trim mine right now. Right now I had to take off my 20mm spacers in the rears. They looked amazing with them on but I had the same issue as you did in the beginning.

Trust me trimming them down with a dremel with be the best thing you've done lol... please post up pictures and specs of the wheels! I was considering switching to 20mm spacers.

My wheel specs are...

20x9 +32
20x10.5 +45

With 15mm spacers all around.

Hey Kenny,
I didn't get to cutting the fender bracket and cutting a few inches off the wheel liner. I decided to spend some time with the family instead. I'll get to that this weekend though. Here are some pics I took. I just got these vossens from my buddy since he just got some sweet ag's. He had them on his g37xs sedan.
I have 20mm spacers all around. If you want anymore pictures of a certain angle just let me know. BTW My rear spacers aren't on in the pic that shows my full car. Hope this gives you a pretty good idea.

Specs: 20x10.5 +45 all around on some 275/30/R20.

Thanks for the pictures manny... and I can definitely see why you'd be having rubbing issues lol Best of luck with the bracket trimming and if you need any help just let me know!

I could use a bit more feedback/input here.
(maybe a push off the fence)

I trimmed the fender bumper bracket up to the point where the screw hole is.
I haven't worked up the courage to eliminate the screw bracket entirely.

No surprise it rubs angerly on dips. (dips annoy me too)

I'm not very comfortable with leaving the pointed tip of the bumper un-secured either. I think I can 3M it in place to the body seam.

But the cutting out the screw bracket is a permanent change I'm a bit reluctant to do.
Any advice on this is really appreciated. Is eliminating the screw bracket the only way to quietly ride flush?

I'm getting a bit of rub on the front too. I'm at 26.25" Maybe I need to rise up to 26.5" all around?

Thanks for your advice and help Kenny! My friend and I cut the whole bracket off with a sawzall. I used to 3m double sided tape just in case the nothing would come loose. Everything seems to be holding up fine and best of all, my 20mm spacers are on there and I am very happy with the results.
I also ripped off part the wheel liner where the tire was rubbing.

I cut the bolt bracket off the fenders.
Nice and quiet now.
BUT, as I expected, the tip of the bumper seam is pulling away from the body.
I'll 3M it tonight, and maybe tap a micro screw in when I get time.

Hey guys this is probably a stupid question, I'm sorry if it is stupid but I've tried many times to figure out where the rear bracket is that you guys dremel for your larger tires. I just can't figure it out when I look at the pictures.

Is there anybody that may have a video that may make it easier to follow or someone that can explain this to me like I'm a 5 year old!! It bugs me that I may have to this to my rear when I get my new tires but I just can't see it.

Thanks guys!

Did you try going upto your car and looking for it? The pics are to give you a general idea where to look, look where your rear bumper edge end, easy to find it. If you can't then put your car up on jackstands and look again..

DIRECTLY behind the seam between the bumper and quarter panel is a small flange with a bolt through it.
Located at 10:00 on passenger side or 2:00 on drivers side.

It's about 1.5-2" in from the point.

(And dammit if somebody asks Am or Pm, Ima gonna let the air out your tires)
