DIY Front Splitter

I am interested in designing my own front wind splitter for the G37. I've looked up numerous front lips for the G37 and they all seem to be priced at $400-$600 with shipping and I find that outrageous. I am an engineer, and I want to try and design a splitter such as the following using Autocad and getting it custom fabricated. As of now I am working on the design process and getting estimates. The material will be 1/4" HDPE with a radius as shown. I am open to suggestions.

how about a 2-piece splitter? would look better with the sport front end, IMHO.

I think a splitter that looks good on the 11+ sport bumper is really tough. I really hope you succeed because I'd be very much interested in that.

are you going for form or function? i'll be making my own splitter as well but i have to finish my front bumper first.
plywood is a common material used and a lot of people have been built their own with it. i would suggest taking a look here for some ideas

-> DIY plywood front splitter for Evo 8/9 - evolutionm.net

and here for a very basic overview of the aerodynamics

-> Tech | APR Performance

let me know how your design goes
