accident

So Saturday my car was hit after a car hit two cars and fled the scene. The good thing was that the guy who impacted me stayed on the scene. The blame was already figured and I'm covered. What worries me is the suspension not being the same after the damage. Also how much do you guys think will the damage be? If you guys can't tell in the picture the wheel is pointing to the inside. Also when I went to get the car out of the tow yard the passenger door seemed kind of stiff.

So hard to put any cost estimate since there's suspension parts involved. I was t-boned and had to have both doors and a rocker replaced and was about $8k. I'd imagine it's going to be at least that much. That sheared metal in front of the rear tire shows how hard the impact was so I'd imagine you'll be replacing most of that suspension on that side.
Good Luck, hope it goes well w/ the insurance & repair. Hopefully no lingering injuries to you or the others.

My girlfriend and I are fine after the accident. I guess I just asked because I am just thinking about taking the check for repairs and getting rid of the car as is for parts. The car has been hit 3 times already and I feel like it's performance and comfort is getting worse every time.

Third time's not a charm
I guess it depends on what your net would be after getting the repair check and seeing what you could get for a part out vs. getting it fixed and selling. If it shows that it's been in 3 collisions on Carfax that will be a huge hit.
Tough spot, and I'd imagine after this third accident you're probably wondering if the car just has bad mojo

Man that's rough. Were the other 2 accidents your fault / did you claim diminished value on them?

Red cars seem to attract other things and can still be costly to drive.

So far this latest accident looks like $6,000 in damages without them really getting into it could be more. They are still waiting for exact quotes on parts.

The cost will def go up once they take it apart and get into it. In my experience, the original estimate is always way off. Keep us updated on the total cost and good luck!

The shop just called me and said the cost is at over $8,000 so far and going up. I guess they didn't see the broken cross member at first. None of the accidents were my fault except the front end damage was my girlfriend driving my car and wound up rear ending her own car parked in my drive way. She claimed the accelerator is too sensitive hahah. Yea I need to try and do the diminished value thing, how do I go about that just contact state farm?

Also cars that take up more than one parking space tend to attract other cars and accidents.

Just a theory
