Infiniti Dealer Scam?
Lesson learned: ALWAYS replace the slave cylinder when replacing a clutch. Always. Replacing it after you just paid for a clutch job is expensive because you have to pay for the all of the labor to drop the transmission labor all over again. Is the $100 you saved by not replacing it with the clutch worth the $1200 you'll be spending now? Hint: No, it's not.
Also you should usually go ahead and replace the master cylinder too along with a clutch. It is relatively inexpensive and that way you have the peace of mind that everything in the system is all functioning correctly.
The dealership is recommending the clutch replacement because brake fluid on the friction surfaces can damage it and cause slippage. No scam involved.
EDIT: Got called away in the middle of posting and came back to finish the post and find Jsolo stated it perfectly. Damn you Jsolo!
Ask your shop who replaced the clutch why they didn't recommend replacing the slave cylinder while they had the transmission out? Extra $100 for the part, no extra labor. But now you're looking at at least $1200 in repairs.

Infiniti Dealer Scam?
Try Camelback Infiniti next time, and from what I heard with an aftermarket clutch it is advised to get a concentric slave cylinder such as z speed. I went that route with my JWT clutch and flywheel and replaced my slave and master since it's all recommended to not deal with it anymore
I had a dealer tell me that the idiot light that tells you some damn thing that has a sensor in the seat ,was due to a bad MODULE and they would have to remove the seat and put a module in..OFF WARRANTY on my '08. I went on the internet and found the codes to reset the light.. It stayed out and never had the problem again. A bad code..I saved $700.I don't think they even put it on the computer. They just figured I was a sucker . I never trust the dealers..Even for my Oil and Filter changes.
Once they know you're on to them they get scared..If you know cars you'll be fine..If you don't, you have to be careful.
Every time I used to take my Caddy CTS in for inspection or Oil Changes they told me I needed Air Filters . So I changed the filter..5 minutes or so..also easier on my G37S coupe, and they still told me I needed filters..When I told the Service manager that I just changed them he looked embarrassed. It never happened again . We became friendly and he knew my knowledge was better than your average Caddy driver...
They have tried to get me on stuff before. You have to find someone you can trust. They make their money on repairs not sales.
