Dash is cracking

G37 2009 37k miles.

Have a boost gauge, and AF gauge installed. Dashed only started cracking past month.

Contacted infinite USA by email today. People are telling me my dash has defects can still be warranted.

Feedback?

Please define "people" who told you the dash being able to be warrantied. If they are from Infiniti, then print the email and visit your local dealership.

Why e-mail consumer affairs as the first action? Take the car into the dealership and have them diagnose the problem. If there are signs that you, or someone else outside of Infiniti, has taken the dash and/or dash components off, they will likely not warranty the replacement of the dash. Also, you are outside of your 4 year/60,000 mile basic warranty, so you will need to have them do you a favor to walk away from this without paying. Good luck.

Thanks guys. Infinite USA shot me down, and the local dealer did too.

Dash has been removed, so the only way is the purchase a new one. Bitch is like 2k. haha

Mines cracking too, but I've never touched my dash other than to clean it with a damp cloth.

^ What he said ... I ALWAYS use a windshield sun shied in all my cars, the hot sun beating down on your dash is a sure fire way to reduce it's life span. You can get exact fit ones these.

Mine is always either in my garage at home, or in the parking garage at work when I drive it.

I am sorry to hear youre having this problem, it seems very common in hot states like Florida, Arizona, Texas, SoCal, ext.. I bought a 2008 G37s coupe with 40k miles two years ago when I began to detail the car the following day i noticed the dash wash sticky towards the windshield, I contacted the dealership I bough the car from and of course they did not believe me of course. Long story short I had a feeling I was going to get screwed so I called the financing bank had them stop funding on the loan and took the car back a month and half later after they try and talk me in to putting in a used dash.

I ended up buying a 2010 g37s coupe with 32k miles, guess what right?? around 40k my dash began to show signs of melting and cracking took it to the dealer and had the service manager look it, again with the bull it could be chemicals or they you clean your dash he says... So I did what I thought was right, and with my I pressed firmly against the dash until it began deform/ warp inward. That finally got them to replace my dash, center console, and some other plastic trims. From what I understand the glue they use to bond the different plastic/vinyl materials in our dash over times with heat exposure a chemical reaction scours that releases those adhesive into the vynil cover causing it to melt or crack.

By the way infiniti consumer affairs is the biggest load of shot I've ever dealt with... No help what so ever with the 2008. WISH YOU H
THE BEST OF LUCK!!!
