Q60 Final Teaser - Revealed in Detroit
^ Looks nice other than what's going on with the bumper on either side of the license plate but the only way to own a German car is under warranty or on lease. German Reliability vs Japanese Reliability = No Contest.
Exactly. That's why I'm die-hard Japanese. It's all about getting the most value for your money.
I don't want to buy a 40/50/60k dollar car that costs a small fortune to maintain and keep in perfect running order.

That's what I like about it. I use to have an e46 and thought it was the perfect size; the M2 is almost identically sized to the e46. It's smaller than a 4-Series length wise by around 9". The M2's trunk is just as big as a 4-Series and it has folding rear seats. I rarely have back seat passengers so it's not a big deal for me to have a smaller car. I know it won't suit everyone's needs, but smaller cars are so much more fun to drive. The Q60 is going to be 1.5~2" longer than a 4-Series. Not to say it won't handle great or be a great car in itself. Just that it's between these two cars that I'm contemplating on buying. Right now I have no idea which car will come out ahead, but I know I'll make a decision once everyone's cards are on the table.

But if you plan on only keeping a vehicle for 2 or 3 years, you might as well lease it.
Especially if you're buying a brand new vehicle. You lose a ton of money selling a new vehicle after owning it for only a couple years.
My car new sold for $45k (to whoever originally purchased it). I bought it with 16k miles for $27K.
Crazy depreciation.
That's not true at all, I dare you to find me one unmolested example of G37 selling for half the original cost after 2 years. I've sold my G35 for 45% of the original price 7 years later.
Frankly if I can afford it, I prefer new. I keep cars for at least 10 years and frankly you have no idea how the previous owner handled the single most important thing ..... oil changes. So many people buy a car (including expensive ones) and become the cheapest ba$tard in the world when it comes to the life blood of a car.

No sh*t! When I lived in LA I saw a guy in a Ferarri F430 getting an oil change at an Oil Stop! Its not even my car and I cringed!

Lexus rolls, Tesla stumbles in reliability survey
I saw this and their scoring includes the Infotainment system, which the Q50 had issues with when it was introduced, so that is why it is low. However, I don't consider that a reliability factor, as I am more concerned with the mechanical and things that could leave me strained.
^^^Agreed. I thought Infiniti was pretty mechanically sound and reliable. On the flip side, I have heard more than enough horror stories about Audi...yet they are in the "most reliable" section? IDK...I think its all BS personally
Thats crazy.......because I think it MOPS the floor with a G35 Coupe, G37 Coupe, Audi S5, BMW 435, Lexus RC, ATS Coupe, and a Genesis Coupe. Mopping sh*t up all day long.
This is easily the most beautiful coupe to ever come out of Japan. It held its very own among million dollar vehicles, at Pebble Beach.
