Kinda my thoughts. The first time I saw the concept it seemed striking. But then the real thing just looked ok, nothing special.

And it looks almost as big as the Q50.

I think my other problem with the coupe is all the "chrome" accents on the side. I can deal with the grill but the side fender vent and the trim around the window is a bit much. Maybe with a different color car it might not look so bad?

yeah, the red and chrome isn't helping.

i'd like to see it in black, with all the chrome blacked out, including that giant catfish grille. only problem is, i'd be hesitant to buy another black Infiniti, seeing as how the paint chips if you look at it the wrong way. nothing looks better than black paint with chips all over it ...

So I took my G in to the dealer for its 1st free oil change, and got a Q50 as a loaner.
I gotta say, it drives and feels like a smaller car (that's a good thing for me). I was expecting a fat pig, but it's not bad.
It doesn't feel as fast as my coupe, although it seems to get up and go. Maybe the lower seating position in the coupe helps with the sense of acceleration?
I like the two center stack displays and cluster display, but I could see how someone who's not very tech savvy (my wife) could get overwhelmed.

Overall, it drives better than I expected ... 400hp will be even better.

Yep, I had my hood repainted (Malbec Black) on my used IPL for that reason. Price you pay, I guess. To your other point(s), it seems Infiniti is going in a different direction vs. the G35/G37, which I personally don't care for. The 35/37 were sporty looking with some luxury (moreso in the 37), but it seems the Q60 is luxury first with a small hint of sporty. VERY small. Referring to aesthetics, not the TT motor. ;-)

I have played around with the 2 screens also while getting my G37 coupe serviced and I also really like the layout of the new screens. Looking forward to that upgrade and of course the hp increase when I do pick up a Q60 red sport!

if i do pick one up, it will be probably be a 2018 model in 2020... just got my G last summer, so probably will have it another 4 years. hopefully by then they will work out any bugs, the price will have plummeted on a 2yr old model ... and maybe it will have Android Auto!

Yeah android auto would be nice, but not a deal breaker for me. My coupe is an '08, but thinking I will grab either the 2018 or 2019 model, as the miles on mine are still pretty low.

not a deal breaker, but would be nice to have. Q50 loaner had 2-USB's, 3.5mm mini audio jack, and an RCA video input. i'm sure with that config, screen mirroring could be accomplished.

Wouldn't be surprised if android auto/apple carplay are added a year or two after production starts.

I will wait as well before I make the leap. I owe a little more than 12k on my car now. I could wipe that out but I am also saving for a house so I don't wanna do that.

I would like for them to offer BOTH apple and android auto, I hate when companies do either or. I have an android but I also have an ipod touch and would like a little more integration

Looked thru the owner's manual of the 2016 Q50s. Both new engines (4cyl and 6cyl) are now rated at 10,000k/12month oil changes using 0w-20. Idk about you but if I get one, I will be doing it ever 4-5k. I don't believe in 10k oil changes. Oil isn't that expensive and it wouldn't hurt.

Also noticed that Idle Start Stop is on them. I thought I was told it was only on the 2.0ts, but it is looking like it might be on all the models. This should all relate back to the coupe the same way.

Yea I was under the impression it was only for the benz engine ones. What do you see showing you otherwise?

10,000 miles seems like a long time. I might push it to 7,500 mile intervals, but not sure I would be comfortable past that!
