Hey guys, I too am in the market to get a g37. I spotted an 08 journey with 57k asking 18.9.. is this a decent price? And also did anyone have any major issues with the battery dying? And if so did the TSB resolve the problem?

I have had 0 issues with my 08s coupe. I love it! I came from a 04 G35 coupe 6MT, and this is more reliable and better engineered in every way I can ponder. No mechanical issues, but some find that the cold engine start sound is troublesome. If memory serves, there is a TSB out there for muffler replacement for some 08 models specifically.

Go for whatever you find nicer and more agreeable for price. The are few differences between 08 and 09/10 really. Some consider the "Scratch Shield" paint that debuted on 09 to be a big deal, but I've been quite satisfied with how my paint is holding up on my 08. You won't be disappointed in this car outside of the poor fuel efficiency.

Looking back, many of us with '08's had the battery problem you describe. In my case, where they replaced a vent valve and upgraded me to a better battery nearly four years ago now, the problem was solved.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I see on the car fax back in late 2011 the battery/charging system was checked, but after that I see nothing. Besides maintanced. Two owners, each owned the car a little over two years. Seems pretty clean, Journey 56.9k miles asking price is 18.9k , do y'all feel this is an okay deal?

The battery problem seems to be a Nissan thing, I know my 35 coupe had it and my mom's Altima.
