any problems with the 08 G37-S?

I am planning on buying a 2010 in march but if things fall through i can get a 08 G37-S for considerably cheaper. i know the 10 picked up some features over the 08 but mechanicaly im a bit scared being first model year and all. SOOOOOO basicly do any of you 08 owners out there know of any cons?

2010 has the music blue tooth feature that 08 doesn't have! The interior trim is alot better, as well as the dash electronics.

I'd say go with the 2008, the minor changes in the interior is not worth the few thousand dollars extra. You can solve the bluetooth issue with wired aux cable that cost $5. Other than that, its nothing different.

I disagree. I'd go with the newer one just because it's newer. Newer is usually better. Better condition. Less miles. Warranty....

PS: I've been on a lot of forums and most are overly critical on simple questions like this. I don't see an issue answering this question. That is why we are here....

These cars don't have any major issues, they're as reliable as cars can come, but of course it depends on how it was maintained beforehand. Make sure it's been taken care of and get it.

My ‘08, albeit a Journey, with Bluetooth, has been mostly trouble free. And as an early ’08 I have the enhanced music box that included many voice commands that were somehow deleted from future ‘08’s, like temperature and radio selection commands.

got the 08 37S, 6MT. totally reliable. I do have the annoying creaking/cracking windshield/dash sound. That one is well documented and fixable. I can't think of any other issues. stock tires are noisy as they wear down, shifter can be balky but that's about it. Nice car, especially above 4k rpm. Great cruiser at 80mph. Mine is totally stock

I really like my 2008 although it could have been taken care of a little better by the previous owner. Miles are not everything and only tell a small part of the story on a used car. Buy the one in better condition with all documentation for service work. Buy the seller as the car itself is great.

One thing to check if you get it inspected is look for head gasket leaking. I had mine fixed under warranty and my mechanic said its a pretty rampant issue with newer Nissans/Infinitis and should be covered under warranty.
