3 Weeks w/o driving, dead battery.

Have we ever solved the dead battery issue if you don't drive the car for about 2 to 3 weeks? Brand new battery!

I just slap the charger on and it fires up just fine. Never have an issue again unless I go out of town. Then I come back,, low and behold,,,,dead battery.

Don't use a trickle charger, use a float charger like a BatteryTender. It's better for your battery and they don't cost much.

You can even hook it up without opening your hood:

I parked my G37 2008 for a month without driving and it cranked up right away. You have a loose connection some where.

The vent control valve sometimes fails to shut off, draining the battery as you describe.

I had a 2009 and the dealer replaced the valve and the battery under warranty.

There's a TSB: #ITB01-010A

Good luck...<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

I just came back three weeks from a trip without driving. My G and my ride in storage both cranked right up, and both have around three years on the batteries.
