Heater Problem???!?!

I have 2 questions regarding the heating system in my 2010 G37x coupe.

1. To defrost my rear window it takes me around 20 min. Isnt that way too long. my previous 15 year old did it in less than 5min. The 20 min is while the car is driving and its definitely already warmed up. Not sure why its taking so long.

2. When i turn off the climate control - i can still feel that theres some heat coming out form the feet or from the windshield (depending on where the last mode was prior to turning it off). Its not a lot of heat but definitely noticeable.

any ideas?

Thanks!

Where are you that there is frost already??

From what I recall on mine, it would start defrosting within about 5 min or so. There might be an issue with the grid back there. Sometimes labels get stuck to the glass, and damage the grid if not removed carefully.

2) There is always a small amount of air circulating iirc.

Are your windows tinted? My buddy owns a tint shop and had g37 that came back and had to remove the tint cuz his defrost wasn't acting right and took to long to defrost, and I got the heat issue to its normal, I get heat coming out of the vents when my climate control is off it's annoying but normal for are v6

Yea my windows are tinted - not sure if thats the problem.. but i was told its because of condensation, so perhaps crack open a window or turn on the AC temporarly to defrost it faster

If there is a metallic content to the tint it can short-circuit the heating grid...
