CPU, A/C Compressor, and Slave Cylinder

Hello, new to the forum. I purchased a used 2009 G37s coupe back in May. Had approximately 38k miles on it. Since I've had the car, I have had all of these items replaced under warranty, thankfully.

I wanted to say Thanks to the forum because if it weren't for this place, I would have never known what to look for. Every time I heard an issue in the car, I read this site and it helped me diagnose my problems.

The CPU was replaced due to the whining noise at higher speeds.
The A/C compressor was replaced because they thought that a rattling was coming from it, but it ended up really being the Slave Cylinder. This is getting replaced today.

I absoulutely love the car, but I'm a little concerned with the number of repairs I have had in the short period of time. I am a guy that has pretty much owned Honda's and Acura's my whole life. Rock solid cars, no doubt. Hopefully, this will be the last of them.

Just want to say thanks to everyone on this site! Much appreciated!

So in effect you've really had two problems and not three because one was misdiagnosed. As for the AC compressor yours' is the first that I've heard of that needed to be replaced, so all in all I'd still say it a pretty reliable car.

Yes, thankfully it has only been two items. Even better that I did not have to pay. I would have been pretty upset if I had to pay for the misdiagnosis.

the second isn't a problem the rattling is from the idle clutch chatter.
It will still do it after you replace the CSC

good luck w the new ride
you should be good

You also might want to check your head gasket for leaks. My local Nissan/Infiniti independent shop found leaks on mine and I was able to get it fixed under warranty (even though my car was already out of its factory warranty period).

It also wasn't reassuring that my mechanic said he was going to get a G37 but all of the problems put him off.

Mine is a 2008 and has about 42K miles on it and so far has had the head gasket replaced, master cylinder replaced, and I just bought a new clutch and HD CSC kit.

I'm surprised they're covering the CSC since the master and slave cylinder is considered wear and tear parts and they normally don't cover it. Overall it's a solid car though and enjoy the heck out of yours!

Thanks! I got the car back today. It sure feels like I have a new clutch after that repair. Totally different feel to the clutch and feels great.

Sounds to me like your mechanic might be part of the problem...

Welcome to the forum!

Except the AC compressor was not the problem; it was the CSC...
