Considering a '10 G37s
Considering a '10 G37s
New around here! I'm kind of in the process of working out a deal for a '10 G37S. White with 34kmi on it. The dealer offer out the door (after fees and taxes) is $29.5k. What do you all think? I've done a fair amount of research and am pretty sure that this would be an excellent car for me and a reliable one at that! Some ownership things that I haven't gotten set straight on are what kind of prices do you guys pay for a set of tires (I have seen some different ranges and it probably doesn't exactly reflect the cost since the front and rear are different sizes), and what do you guys pay for oil changes (if you don't diy)? I have looked at the infiniti forums on how to DIY, and I wouldn't think it would be too much more expensive than any other oil change considering it is simple enough to do myself. Anyways, just looking for some input or feedback. I think if I can get the price down to 28.5k out the door, I'd be all over it!
Oil changes at the dealer; dyno oil $39.99, Mobil 1 $69.99. I do it myself, very easy. Install a Fumoto valve, look it up and you don't even need a wrench. I bought a 2008
G37S in January, paid $21.9K. Less than half the price of a new one. Had a slight gear noise going into 5th gear and the dealership installed a new transmission.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, it seems very easy to do the oil. I just might want to get it done professional for the remaining duration of warranty. I have seen the fumoto valve before. They seem like they would take forever to drain. Thoughts?
I bought a 2010 37s (fully loaded except for the tech package) for 28 out the door and I thought that was pretty good - had 39k miles. I haven't purchased a set of new tires or oil change yet, so I can't comment on that.
Hole the deal works out for you.

It may drain a little slower, not sure. The hotter the oil, the faster it drains and with the fuimoto valve you don't have to worry about burning your fingers or loosing the drain plug into the drain pan.

I just bought my 2010 Journey Sport, 17K, no nav, dealer installing new set of bridgestone tires....the good ones, 245/275's and I paid 27.8 for the car. It was traded in on a PT CRUISER by a 50 year old woman!!! Can you imagine that changeover? I bought it 5 days later after seeing it online.
I think I got a real good deal considering that the car is spotless other than one chip on the edge of the door...inside is immaculate. Love it.
But...I think it depends also on where you live..... market in that area.
