Picked up my 3rd G

Hi all, I picked up a '13 G37S auto sedan about 7 months ago (for my wife), and today i picked up an 08 G37S 6MT coupe. I actually bought a 2010 VW CC R-Line with the DSG transmission earlier this month, but couldn't take the slow FWD automatic anymore...so here I am! I got a great deal on both cars, so I didn't lose a dollar on the quick turnaround, even when factoring in taxes. The screen in the 08 is A LOT worse than the 13 - I actually had no idea they were different.

The 08 has a Fujita short rams intakes, and a Magnaflow catback. I want to even swap the intake back to stock with a member here (any takers? I'm in Detroit/Ann Arbor area), and I'm still not sure about the catback. I want to get RHFC and I think it'll be too loud for my taste with the catback.

Also - the windshield has a 50% tint...makes Michigan look even more gloomy than it already is , so I'll be removing that today or tomorrow. I'm hoping there won't be any glue marks.

Question - the car has a quiet chirping sound coming from the passenger front sometimes, and the chirping frequency and volume change with the RPM - is this a common issue? The car just got new brake pads, so it's not the wear indicators.

Here's a picture!

Maybe. The thing is, i only notice the chirping when the RPM are above idle. It's possible that I need to diagnose it again - I haven't had much time with the car. There's no vibration during braking though.

Congratulations and I am very glad to see you remove the tint on the windshield. I personally can't stand that stuff. Someone in Detroit is going to be very happy to swap with you for the intakes I imagine. Speaking of, the noise couldn't be from the intakes, could it?

The chirping noise is not constant, and it comes and goes, and it's definitely not a normal MT noise - something small is definitely up. As I drive around the car more and notice the exact situations when i can hear the noise, I'm sure the forum will be able to help me narrow down the issue.

I peeled the tint off the windshield last night, and the glue marks were everywhere. I got GooGone and went to work....i thought it would be easier! I scrubbed about 85% of the stuff off, but it's such a PITA.
