Fuel Gauge Problem,NEED HELP

I'm new here, this is my FIRST thread !
I got my 08 g coupe for about half year, and I LOVE it!Recently, my fuel gauge sometimes reads totally empty even it has some gas left . It only happens when less than half tank of gas. Also, sometime the fuel gauge works fine, but the Fuel range tells me, my G can only go 5 or 4 miles and then it keep increasing to normal...
I searched this problem, but find nothing. Because in my case, my fuel gauge just reads empty.

BTW,last month my car has some stall problem when warm start. My father asks me take my car to highway and do some hard acceleration(to redline), after that, the stall prolem fixed...

Welcome to the forum but i dont think you searched very hard. The forum is filled with threads regarding fuel level problems. Basically the fuel level sensor is dirty and requires cleaning. There are 2 sensors, one in each gas tank cover. Try to clean them first and then the needle should read more accurately. If that doesnt work, then you can replace the sensors.

Here is a thread with more information:

Just bought 13 G37x from Carmax

Noticed driving today that the fuel gauge shows full, while the "range" shows 190 miles to empty, and was very slowly climbing a mile at a time. The temp gauge was also very slow to lower, but seemed to eventually get near the exterior temp.

Would the fuel level sensor cause this issue as well? I haven't driven it enough to get more data points yet, but planned to take it out of town next Tuesday and don't want to get stranded by a faulty gauge.
