Hi all,

I am now to this forum as official user, yet i used to come here every now and then as a reader/visitor only. i used to have 09 G37s Coupe, but sadly had an accident in 2010. yet i don't feel i had enough of the G, i am still very interested in having another one, as my 2nd car.
I used to read that new g sedan will be released in summer 13, for 14 model, and the new g coupe in summer 2014, for 15 model. so i though ok ill get at least a used one now. but just today i read that also the new g coupe will be announced next summer in 2013. is that true? i'm now confused. or it's just another rumor?

It has to be coming soon, I think that would be great timing. Once they do release it will there be a new G forum? This would be perfect for me if that was the release date, all rumors but sooner or later it's not going to be a rumor

It's an unveil, not a release, the G coupe will not be here for 2013.

 

Have to take it with a grain of salt when they say, "and the graceful four-door coupe taper shape" ..... coupes are not four-door.

 

Its just a saying…a “four-door” coupe is the phrase they use to describe a shape, that is similar to a “coupe” but has 4 doors (Mercedes CLS, Volkswagen CC, Aston Martin Rapide, Porsche Panamera)

And in my opinion, if they could design the new 37 Sedan, with frameless doors (Subaru style) and create a “four-door coupe” shape, I will be ecstatic!

 

Just out of curiosity, why do you want frameless doors on the sedan?

 

Its just so much sexier when you open a door, and the window is down, and you only see a door, and not a silly frame around it. Plus, frameless doors have awesome auto-seal windows

The coupe almost always is released a year after the sedan...so that means 2014.

From the pictures in the link from the last post, it looks like it'll have the same grill as the XJ

 

I was at my dealership about a month ago and was told they will have one more year with the g37 then release the new sedan (maybe g39?) and the coupe will be out the following year...

you were unfortunately told bad information. The g sedan will be released around may, and yes the coupe will follow a year later. And no it will not be a g39 lol

 

No offense. But the only people who know that for a fact is Infiniti. If people knew exactly when there were releasing the G, their whole R&D team would be a joke.

At the end of the day, nobody knows when the new G will be here, except the bid wigs at Infiniti. Period. It will be release when they see fit.
