The only odd thing the console display doesn't do is follow the current track in a play list. For instance, when the phone plays a song below what is visible on the screen, the list doesn't advance to that song. It still lists the track info, though.

Other than that, perfect. No distortion, etc., although MP3 discs still play back with better quality and volume than through the phone. Very relieved after reading some of the posts on here the past few weeks while waiting for Apple to ship the blasted adapters!

Cheers.
how much did this run you

I'm beginning to think it's either A. not getting enough power or B. not understanding the "ipod discovery protocol" the car uses to detect if an ipod is connected. I also have a RCA (red, yellow, white, usb ->30pin) apple adapter which if I plug in the tune2air it works 100% of the time -MINUS the real reason you bought it (music library / avrcp ).
I'm tempted to try and rig up a 30 pin pass through w/a rechargable "usb power bank" to make it stay on 100% of the time. It kills me that my civic w/its $70 head unit had better control over my music then my G. If I make any progress I'll keep you in the loop.

The adapters work fine with the charger, both of them. Thing with the adapters is that it will play for like 30 seconds or so and then fade away. Frustrating.

Firmware is 6.03 but I will try the restart. When I try to pair it it's recognized as a headset and not tune2air and then it will not pair. The blue light doesn't even come on; but there is a faint red light. The blue light does blink when I connect it with the car charger....strange. I called the distributor he said he will exchange if I want to try another one or refund. I'm going to try another one, even thought I'm pretty sure that's not it. He said it may be some sort of incompatability issue but I told him of the successful use on here. I've tried dropping the connection, etc. No bueno :-|.

I think it's something with the cable...don't understand why though since it worked with 4 and also works with my iPad which has been my fall back.

Thanks for your suggestions I will try. Edited to add I have Nav (which the iPhone integrates with and I can look up directions on the iPhone and it seamlessly integrates with the navigation..discovered that by accident. One reason I like the new phone I guess).

Dockboss Air?

Has anyone tried dockboss air with the dockstubz converter? I am thinking about buying one, but I have the 12v power supply in the car, so I'll need both products to get it to potentially work. Even then, though, it still might not work! Thanks.

Bluetooth?

Anyone able to get bluetooth a2dp working on an infiniti that was not originally equipped with it? I have tune2air adapter, but it does not connect. All it shows is a red light when I plug it in. Does anyone have cablejive's dockboss air? If so, did you get it to work? Thanks so much!

Sure its the Scosche 30pin adapter. The lynk is attach.
http://www.scosche.com/charging-adapter-for-ipod-iphone<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
and for the Iphone 5 I attached another adapter on top.
I attach a picture of the box and you can get that from apple or

Video through iPod connection?

Dumb question: does using the 30 pin iPod cable allow you to watch videos from your collection? I'm considering setting up my 5th gen iPod touch using the iPod connection in the armrest because of the convenience of the steering wheel interface...

BUT I also want to be able to playback videos without using the RCA jacks and having to switch back and forth. Is it one of those "you can't have everything" dealies?

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated!

I think I would have to jailbreak my Iphone to try it.
Maybe one of these days I will try it.

Iphone 5 with RCA input slots

I’ve recently purchased an Infiniti G37S 2008, and would like to know how to make my iPhone 5 work with it. Details below...any help would be much appreciated!

CAR
- G37S 2008
- Gulf (Dubai) Spec Model
- The centre console has two input slots – one for the charger, and one set of 3 composite RCA slots (see pic below)

WHAT I WANT TO BE ABLE TO DO
- Control my Iphone music from the Nav screen and steering wheel
- Control my phone contacts from the Nav screen
- Watch iPhone video with sound on the Nav screen

EQUIPMENT AT MY DISPOSAL
- Iphone 5 Lighting to 30-pin adapter Lightning to 30-pin Adapter - Apple Store (U.S.)
- Lightning to HDMI adapter
Lightning Digital AV Adapter - Lightning to HDMI - Apple Store (U.S.)
- Standard HDMI cable
- Standard Composite RCA/AV cable
Composite A/V Cable (Triple RCA) -- DataPro

Note that I DO NOT have any Nissan OEM Apple cable.

OTHER EQUIPMENT WHICH FORUMS HAVE SAID MAY HELP
- HDMI to AV Converter
Amazon.com: ViewHD Universal HDMI to Composite / AV Video Converter, Support PAL / NTSC Standard TVs: Electronics Amazon.com: ViewHD Universal HDMI to Composite / AV Video Converter, Support PAL / NTSC Standard TVs: Electronics

- Apple Composite AV Cable
Apple Composite AV Cable - Apple Store (U.S.)

A SUGGESTION I'VE HEARD SO FAR
- Connect the Iphone 5->Lighting to HDMI Adapter->HDMI Cable->HDMI to AV Converter->RCA cable into car input slots
- Dont know if the above will work, seems quite a lengthy setup

@elclasico... it appears that your missing the ipod integration slot in your center console. see picture here.

@drivera.. no, video is not supported on the stock ipod connector. you must use the RCA jacks for video.

@topthrill ive used a belkin A2DP bluetooth receiver for getting music via bluetooth on my G, i plugged it into the RCA (red and white). but ive scrapped that and now use the dock. not sure about tune2air biz.

Thanks Josh - is there an alternative way to at least listen to iPhone music then (without nav screen) using my existing slots? I have an AUX cable which I used in my previous car, but there doesn't seem to be an AUX slot anywhere.
