Ok...

Let me apologize...I was wrong...I took someone else's word for it without researching myself...the most expensive kit that I found was $1200.00 not 6k, but they do vary in price depending on the car, the brand, and the options you get...so they could run you more than $1200.00 I guess. Maybe the guy that told me that price had a lot of bells and whistles like remote and whatever or had a 4 door sedan and got the trunk done too...lol...IDK.

...Still not worth it!

Modding cars should be based on personal style and interest. If your friend wants to and thinks it will stand out then go for it.

My opinion is if its a show car then it might be cool, it definitely will be different and stand out, to some in a good way to others in a bad way.

If everyone modded their cars based on what everyone's opinion here is, all of them would look nearly identical and that would be kind of boring..

 

Yes you are right but somethings like Lambo doors or Merc doors should be a NO NO for all.

I've had lambo doors on my Infiniti qx4, lots of work to install, it never will line up properly, if your g is a everyday car don't recommend it. If you are gonna do it don't buy universal kits, trust me I have lots of experience with lambo doors, and all the trouble I went through with the universal kit

 

So from what I gather, the hotter she is the more acceptable this mod is. At this point it is useless to continue the discussion without pics of said friend.
