As much as I love the M3, I'm not a fan of sinking that much cash into a used german car. Buying a G37 coupe now is almost pointless if you consider that the new body style should be out within the coming year... I may be the only one of this opinion, but I would recommend sticking it out a bit longer. See what the the New M3 and G coupe look like and then purchase that one that moves you the most.

I pretty sure the new coupe won't be released for at least another 2 years. The sedan will be released first and them the coupe will come out the following year

Dude get the M3. You would be crazy not to. People who purchase brand new M3's at 80k a pop take care of their cars for the most part. All the guys I know who have NEW M3s (E92) are doctors, lawyers, executives, business owners, ect.

If you were going for a 2000-2006 then I would say you need to find the right seller, but I still think and 05-06 M3 With competition package is way nicer.

The only reason I did not get one is because
A) I live in CT and would have to have a second car for the winter
B) My company only allowes me to buy brand new cars every 3 years with a 50k cap.

If i had my choice i would Grab and 08 M3 Hands Down. Thing is a beast.

Either that, and E63 AMG or 05-08 500hp M5 BEAST

If money is no object, M3.

If money is an object, G37S

I bailed on my E46 (non-M) because I got tired of chasing issues. The E9X M3 has been rated as the "most reliable" per Consumer Reports.

Used current newest M3 Coupe Gen's are only 36,000$ (2008+).. Cheaper than a new G37 coupe! Keep in mind that's 50k miles + though. Have you looked into S5's?

Pay close attention to the M3's suspension when you test drive it. They provide a completely different feel than the G37s. Much more stiff. Ask yourself if you want to live with that on a daily basis for as long as you own the car.

I've decided I'm getting the M3, just trying to see what exactly I want in it. Stock suspension doesn't matter to me, that will be swapped out. It also probably isn't anywhere near as bad as driving a slammed car with the suspension settings set on stiff like I used to do. Also, the M3 won't be my daily driver, I'm buying a beater once fall hits. For that I am looking at the IS300, 04-05 WRX's, base RSX, and civics/integras.

okay honestly, get a brand new g coupe if its between a new g coupe or a used m3. one of the reason is since the e92 m3 is such a high revving engine that im sure people rev'd the **** out of those engines and usually play around in the high rpm range, also CPO doesnt mean anything... if you look around the m3 forums, theres people complaning that CPO cars are having more problems then what individual sellers are selling. also a used m3 with about 30K miles or less is still more expensive then a brand new g coupe, and will prolly wont have that much warranty left, unless you purchase extended warranty at the dealer. but if you do decide to buy a use m3, get a 09 or newer since the 08 has the older idrive, that you cant update. M3 is only trsutful if you get it new!
