Smile Hello guys! Looking to purchase a G37-S coupe! (Need your help!)

Hey guys

So 3 weeks ago I was hit head on in my heavily modified 2003 Subaru WRX (luckily I'm still alive and not at fault, although the recovery process was not fun )... State farm is paying me out a check of $13k!

Would you guys recommend a 2008 G37S or 2009 G37S? I'm so undecided! For sure I am set on a G37S with Paddles, and I like the whole idea on the bigger brake calipers and Bose audio.. I know one year has a 5AT and the other has a 7AT, and small differences...Here are some cars I'm looking to buy..
Used 2009 Infiniti G 37 Sport For Sale in Los Angeles, CA | JNKCV64E99M605386
Used 2009 Infiniti G 37 For Sale | Anaheim CA .

Any input would help as I am going to purchase a car by the end of this weekend. Thanks guys!

Wait so you are going to end up getting a BBK? Personally I like the 5 AT better then the 7 AT but that is just me. You should test drive both and see how it is.

I've read a lot about the two, and there really isn't a whole lot of a difference between the 08 and 09. If you want, get the 08 and spend the difference on mods since the mod bug got to you in your WRX. G37 is no different, mods galore.

Looking at the two cars, the difference doesn't seem like a lot. Get the 09 if it makes you feel better lol. Not much a difference between the two. One has black interior..which...I personally don't like with the Ivory pearl exterior. Happy car hunting! Post pics when youn get one

I agree with DashKid and just drive both and then see which one you like better.

BBK? I test drove both but I didnt test drive the 09 on the freeway.. I heard the 7AT has slightly better gas mileage.. And I didnt test drive them at like full throttle but they both felt smooth..

I like the black interior over the tan color... Im trying to find a 2008 with 20-30k miles but I cant seem to find any in the color combo I want (yes Im picky).. I will definitely post pictures.. My first mods (within a week or two) will be ordering a Megan axelback exhaust, and Im thinking some 19x8.5/10 Linea Corse Lemans wheels on Eibach springs...

2008 - six speed, old navi, old interior style.
2009- 7 speed, high display navi, newer interior design and update.

Get the 2009+ because 2008 is the first year model. And first year model always have problems. Look at the problems ppl has. Mostly it's the 2008

R U talking coupe? If yes, 6mt is the way to go IMHO. I have 80K on my '08 and still love it.

I could swear the high def navi came in 2010.

Also I have the 08 and the only irritating problem I have is not being able to fill the gas tank but I haven't had time to head over to Iinfiniti to get the TSB done since the closest dealer is out of state.

The 09 has the circular heated seat ***** rather than those `airplane type` switches that the 08 has. When it comes to 08 vs 09 I would say get the better deal. If `10 becomes an option then I would take that over 08/09.

OP save a little bit more and get 2010. It's HD Navigation Screen, DVD playback and USB port for music. So worth it.

My WRX was 5mt, I live in los angeles and do alot of city/traffic driving and I kind of wanted paddles... That way I could have some kind of sport but at the same time Im able to just coast and relax when in traffic.. Good to see the reliability on these cars

i'm not talking about the navigation itself but the whole screen is HD.. that's the screen that you will be looking at the whole time while you are in the car.

^^^^^^^^

+1 The screen is the one thing I would change about my car (08) but I'm a huge tech guy, dunno about you; maybe tech isn't so high on your list.

Maybe just shoot for one with the color combos you're looking for regardless of year! Also I love the '11 sport bumper.
