08 Coupe Low beam dashboard indicator
I bought my 08G37S coupe 6MT about 1.5 months ago, and it's been in and out of the dealership so many times since catching up with all the little things that are replaceable under warranty. So, driving at night last week, I noticed there is no indication on the instrument cluster that the headlights are on, either low beams or fog lights... I took it to the dealer and they said there was a 'short' somewhere back there and they had to replace the instrument cluster. Long story short, I just got a call and the car is ready, but there won't be indicator on the dashboard at all letting me know my lights are on, they said Infiniti did not use that feature on the 08s, and started doing so beginning with the 09 model. Does that make sense to you guys?
Could you please help out, all you owners of the 08 coupe model?
Thanks!
I searched througout the forums and couldn't find anything about this subject.

I can't tell you if the 08's have it, but my 09' does illuminate a green headlight icon on the right side of the instrument cluster. There is not any indicator of fog light operation however.
OP that is correct. I have an 08 6mt and it does the same thing. Only light that it is going to show is the high beam light. Plus I think it is very difficult to leave your headlights on and leave because when you open the door with the lights on it makes a loud beep noise.
Thanks guys for the quick response!
mtrsprt, I used a flashlight to locate the low beam-shape symbol on the right hand side of the instrument cluster, which is exactly were you said yours are. It just made no sense to have them on a dashboard and not have them work...
Dashkid, thanks for your help! I did notice only the high beams have an indicator, which of course would be hard to miss if we left them on... As I stated above, I just used logic on that one and thought to myself "Why would you have and indicator built in a dashboard and not use it?" especially when everyone is used to seeing one on pretty much every car. (this is the first time I see a car without it...)
But nonetheless, your help is much appreciated! I'll go pick up my G happy now...

My 08 base coupe doesn't have one either. Like someone said before, if you have your headlights on (other than auto) the car yells at you if you dont turn them off when you get out of the car.
