Low speed uphill stuttering
Hey guys,
I'm wondering if anyone here has experienced this issue. Whenever I go uphill at a low speed, say around 1k-1.5k rpm, my car lurches back and forth. It's like a stutter in the transmission. I'm wondering if the two service bulletin's (ITB12-027c and ITB10-075a) would help fix this? It's almost as it seems the car doesn't know which gear to shift into. The strange thing is that its always uphill and never on a flat surface.
It's a 2010 G37S coupe with 36k miles.

Take it in, have the dealer check to see if it does need an update. I'm actually having a very similar issue. No luck so far for me, dealer said mine is updated and when I had the trans services they said the fluid looked fine, no indications of mehanical failure. They also could not reproduce the symptoms so I'm waiting for a chance to take it back.

I took it to the dealer today which I did a test drive with the mechanic as well and did recreate the issue. The car did not have the update though and so they performed that and said nothing else is wrong with the car.
I drove it home and the transmission is much smoother now which is nice. I drove it around my house though which has a LOT of hills and the stutter is still there but now much less. It stutters only for a short period of time before going away. So I'll drive it around some much and see how it is but it is annoying. I would be pretty mad if I bought this car new and it had this issue as a normal thing.
