Gonna change my oil for the first time. With bmw I would just pick up oil and the filter from bmw but I'm gonna go with mobil 1 for the G since that's what most people seem to like. Just wondering what filter I should get?!

K&N filter code is hp-1008
Mobil 1 filter code is m1-108

PERSONALLY on my sti i use the m1-110 which is the same as the m1-108 but taller. Looking back i wish i would of used the taller one on my g as well. I feel that the oem size is rather small.

On the oil note, mobil 1 is muy lame

 

I use mobil 1 oil with purolator filter.

 

I should have just went with Mattster's urging and my first impulse to close this thread right away since there are already a bazillion good threads about this and starting another one just spreads the information over more threads instead of centralizing it and makes it harder to find for those who do actually SEARCH. But some of you nice guys still spoon feed this stuff so that this pointless thread will come up in a search when guys who do actually use the search feature use it to find their own answers. Damn. Should have trusted my instincts.
