I ran over a small piece of tree branch on the highway and discovered this damage after I got home. FML! The Fastintentions.com told me replacing the carbon shield is not possible since it is infused with the muffler. ohhh damn

I am thinking of applying J-B WELD to see if it repairs it. Anyone think that is ok? Thanks

 

I don't know about the original JB Weld, but some sort of adhesive made for the right material should work. I'd also get a large band clamp, apply the adhesive, then band clamp the area until cured.
