Used Lotus? They handle extremely well. 5 years isn't as long as you may think. You're young, have patience. Living above your means (eating raman noodles so you can drive a 50,000 car) will get you into a load of trouble. I make about 100,000 a year. I really can't afford a new G37. It's just too much of my income devoted to a vehicle. That's why I got a used one at half the cost. 25,000 I can afford. I know that $90,000 a year seems like alot, but it's not as much as you think. Don't spend 6 months pay on a vehicle. It will lock you out of way too much at this point in your life

Then again, I really don't think you should be doing that with your money, but who am I tell you how to spend your cash

Seriously though, come out to the track. A few other members of this board will be joining.

you know i really like raman noodles. i make it with some egg, sesame seed oil, garlic, onion powder, pepper, little Tabasco, baby corn and some water chess-nuts. man.. thats good..

or some hoisen sauce, chilli flakes, and sirachtchas and soy sauce..

or you could fry it up in oil and make sir fry.

you can even eat that crap dry like chips.

im definitely going to get some raman tonight

or is that "load" of trouble something you meant as the morning after such eatery...

cause you put enough red pepper flakes in that and it'll clean you out like draino maxx

Big injectors and cams are big injectors and cams. There's nothing you can do to make it idle well.

Exotics idle high for a reason...

Also, by saying that car barely runs, I'm saying it had more downtime than uptime, by far.

That's a sad excuse for a G and it's nowhere near "high end". It's dead and was killed by stupidity. You do crap like that to a Civic, not to a G. I'm insulted to know that that idiot owns the same vehicle I do.

If that's what you want, good luck. I can't help you get it.

They're dyno queens. Anything can be made fast in a straight line fairly easily. I'll bet the G37 and 370z can't turn very well.

ok, i thought about it. I may not be able to get a car right off the graduation line that can beat my last car, I mean it was a corvette... they are build cheap and fast..

Would it be too much to ask that i have a g37x that could walk the new mustang 5.0?

I hate mustangs, i hate the way they look, i hate the way the sound, i hate that they are cheap as dirt but can make a fool out of most cars on the road. basically i hate that since i don't like it, that it is so fast.

If i can get a f/i G to 1 up the 5.0 i will be happy. is THIS in the realm of possibility and could i get help to do it from you guys? i don't trust performance shops to have all the answers. I got very valuable info to the f/i build on my vette with the forums and i want to keep it that way.

so in short, is it feasible for me to take a G37x (awd) to those performance marks in terms of straight line acceleration? the day i see a ford mustang make a fool of me is a sad day. its quite terrifying actually.. i don't know how i would react..

Invest in some driving lessons and tracktime. Money better spent IMO.

Get a GT-R. You're trying to do something with a vehicle that it's not designed to do. People who think pony cars are better than our G are the fools.

If you're offended by not having the fastest 0-60 time, you're looking at the wrong vehicle. Quit looking at imports and stick with your muscle cars. They're designed for it, the G isn't. The G is in a whole different class. You're going to spend three times as much money to get it as fast as a pony car. You'll have a much much better car, but you're going to pay for it. You're better off just getting an SS and a cheap blower. The G just doesn't have what you're looking for.

You say you want world class handling, but you're obsessed with power.
