Question My 2008 G37s squeals

I bought the car this year in August and had the 30K Service done and a 130 Point inspection, only thing they recommended were front tires which I replaced.

2 Issues:

1. When I back out or am driving in the range of 0-15MPH and brake, it squeals.
It never happens when i am driving over 20MPH and come to a standstill.

2. Every time I get out of the car, I hear a squeak.(I weigh 165bs)

The brakes Fronts are 8MM and Rear 7MM. Could it be that I need to get the brakes replaced?

I have tried cleaning the wheels with brake cleaner but I think all it does is lubricate it for a little while and the noise is back again.

Help!

The brakes on my G37S and my Dad's G37S both squeal when backing out.

I hear a noise sometimes when I get out of the car, from the parking brake I believe. It's a bit noisey and weak, especially on a 6MT.

Our sport brakes squeal. You can try and claim it under warranty but you'll probably be told it's a wear item. A rotor resurface or replacement and pad replacement should take care of it, but it will come back again. Mine squeal when I reverse but I learned to just live with it.

id like to know if its the pads or what.

maybe someone has used something other than OEM replacement pads to get rid of the squeal.

I went to the dealership here in CA (Peninsula Infiniti). Told the service manager the problem and he automatically said it was normal for the Smodel to do that because of larger brakes.

I personally am annoyed because it sounds so stupid when backing out or just leaving somewhere and having the brakes squeal.

I also don't believe that I should replace a perfectly good brake/rotor and a $45K car to do that every time.

Quality!

its normal for brakes like that on the S. I had brembos on my jeep SRT8 and my Camaro SS that squealed as well. All the brrakes with calipers of that size will squeal under low pressure. it is a wear item. in brembo's manual it even says it. im sure the akebonos are the same way

^ a friend of mine has an e55 amg with 8-piston front calipers. he has a similar, but MUCH MUCH louder squeal. it's inevitable and normal. my NEW calipers and pads do the same as well.

I don't have the sport and my brakes do the same. I think there is a tsb for it, but i don't want my rotors prematurely aged by resurfacing.

i bought my G from carmax recently and noticed this issue within 30 days of having the car so i took it in, and they said there was a TSB on the "brake pins". got them replaced, still did it, they resurfaced the the brakes, still did it. i requested to have the car checked out by infiniti which will be my next visit.

Do you happen to know the TSB on this? I've taken mine into the dealer before and had them just clean the brakes. That removed the squeak for a while but it recently came back. I'm planning to stop by again to see what else they can do aside from resurfacing them.
