Took my G into a dealer in Atlanta today, since there is no local dealership in Columbus, GA. The issues were as follows:

1. Wind noise from the passenger side window
2. Exhaust rattle


Number 1:

The noise was coming from the window not coming up all the way when rolled up. Here's where it gets good. The service rep calls me and tells me that the door panel has been taken off and that bolts were missing, and that the door panel light was unplugged, etc. I tell her that I bought this car used a couple months ago, and I didn't know what the hell might have been done to it. They said they couldn't repair it under warranty because of the apparent tampering that had been done to it. I asked how much it would cost me to get it repaired, and she said she would get me a quote and let me know. At this point I am pissed that some dumbass has decided to work on this door issue, and apparently didn't know what he was doing. So, we drive back to the dealership in the loaner G37 that they gave us, because I wanted to see exactly what was messed up. When we got there, the service tech tells us that the door has been repaired, and the door panel was back on, and that the tech was told by the service manager to go ahead and fix it. Awesome service!!!!

Number 2:

The infamous muffler weld rattle issue. It was replaced, and all is good.

it's reassuring to here people are having good reports from Infiniti dealers to share with us, there are so many negative ones we've heard in the past.

Took my G37 Coupe to Austin Infiniti in Austin, Tx. They replaced the Muffler under warranty, no questions asked. I highly recommend this dealer they treat the customer like royalty.

 

Great experience with Grubbs in D/FW as well. I just got the steering wheel and door handles swapped out under warranty for scratches and peeling

go to the BBB (better business bureau ), they will help you solve all the problem
