I think I was offered a 100k warranty for about $2K too when I bought my car. I bought it at first, but went back a couple days later and got a refund.

A few months ago, I got a quote for an 2yr/24k mile extended warranty special from Riverside Infiniti. It was dependent on mileage and I don't remember the exact tiers, but I know below 50K miles was around $900, then the next tier was around $1300 (forget what the mileage range was for that). I was below 50K at that time and really thought hard about it, but decided not to. Right now I'm at about 58K and my factory warranty expired in November. Hope I can at least make it to 100K without anything major!

 

So I finally had a chance to call Infiniti and this is the break down... Apparently I was sold an Extended certified pre owned warranty for 72 months 100k miles the day I purchased my pre owned Infiniti. It Expires in June 2014. It cannot be canceled or changed since it is a certified pre owned warranty... Not sure why but this is what the Corp Infiniti office advised me. It's not a total loss because of the low rate I received for my finance (2.9) and I wouldn't have gotten that unless I got this warranty so whatever ..

Is it true that the elite warranty will go up to 7 Years or 100k miles from the manufacture date? so if my car was manufactured in Jan 08 the longest warranty i can get is 36 additional months which it will expire on Jan 2015? or can i get 48 months plan also?

I bought my warranty for 3,300. 100,000 mile extended or five years, since this was my first car i bought it without thinking that i was getting ripped off. So two months after i bought the car, I sent in a cancellation request and they wrote my credit union a check for 3,150 so the amount was pro-rated a little bit, but i got most of my monies back. Ill probably never buy a warranty again. plus its an Infiniti! they don't break down usually...
