it WILL rip off trust me, here is a thread of how I had to redo mine once my first one took off on me, lots of others have done so as well...

Thanks man. I saw these a few weeks back. I really don't want to remove the bumper, but now I afraid, very afraid. Was it easy taking it off?

Taking the bumper off is only about a 15 minute job, same putting it back on, once you've done it once you will realize how much time you save by just getting it out of the way.

Alternatively, just put the car up on jack stands; drill enough pilot holes through splitter and bumper to double up on the number of screws Stillen provides and use stainless steel screws with some washers to more securely attach the splitter.

I don't know how easy or hard it is to take the bumber off, but it certainly is not necessary to bolster this thing as described above.

Love the look of the Splitter -- very simple and clean.

Thanks, that's exactly what i just did. I added more stainless steel bolts and put on the turnbuckles, god willing, this thing isn't going anywhere!
