Stillen Splitter Install
Well as some of you may have seen in my other thread, my original stillen splitter pulled through the screws provided by Stillen and wen't airborne lol. So I upgraded the hardware this time around.
15, 1/4" Stainless nuts, bolts, washers and lock washers.

also trying to decide if i want to go with the turnbuckles or not. for anyone who HAS used them, do you have pictures of them, I'm looking at what angles they are less protrusive and maybe powdercoated black for a less drastic look. Anyone?
taped to the bumper for test fit....

I'm on my second splitter too, but my first one didn't fly off, something hit it on the freeway and broke it. You will be fine with all that hardware. I put on some of my own 3m heavy duty exterior double side tape, and wound up using about 15 rivets with washers to hold it on. I second leaving the turn buckles off.
Nice work. I Like the turnbuckles. I would paint them to match your rims or maybe there is a powdercoat that looks like a black chrome or black anodized color? I think that would look more subtle and pretty cool also.

It aligns right up against the OEM black plastic piece that hangs up under the front bumper. Also the squared off corners line up wth the squared off corners of the OEM bumper by the wheel wells. It really lines itself up quite well.
Sweet ride. I vote to keep the turn buckles but black them out. Nice job on the enhanced mounting. Do you have any concerns with it messing with the bumper cover now that it won't separate from it easily? Others have attached the splitter so that it will come off instead of ripping up the bumper. Not that having it come off at speed is a good thing. Just a thought.
Good Idea with the screws! My brother had a seibon lip on his g35 for a week, and he only used 2 screws on each side, along with a ton of DS tape and it still flew off and he ended up running it over!
