Driving a '10 G25x loaner in lieu of my '08 G37s 6mt. (comparison)

G37s vs G25x

I definitely know where the extra money went with my 37... the power/torque is night and day between the two cars. While the 7AT is the best auto I've ever driven, it's still far less than ideal vs a stick.

The 25 isn't THAT slow, but I can feel the 100HP hit.

One thing I never thought I'd miss is the 4WAS. When I first got my G, I didn't even know it had it till that night when I saw the warning light in the dash when the car wasn't running. Now that I am used to having it, the difference between 4WAS and non-4WAS is very apparent. Driving away from the dealer in the 25, there was a definite difference in steering ratio at low speeds.

There is also a very noticable difference in ride height and body roll in turns. Beyond having similar interiors, they feel like completely different cars driving them back to back.

Just thought I'd share my impressions.

Cheers.

I dropped it for for a list of things.
Primarily:
Exhaust rattle,
Seat bubble,
Tranny noise,
Door rattle,
Dash seperation
I'm at 29000 miles.

What kind of tranny noise do you have?

Is the exhaust rattle just on start up?

My tranny grinds into second on aggressive, redline shifts. It also has a growl when releasing the clutch (in any gear) that I've been told sounds like a worn input shaft.

The exhaust rattle is very pronounced during cold-start, but can also be heard a little during idle (from outside the car).

Is your dash separation on the adjustable dash, above the steering wheel?

Yes, it is loose near the illumination buttons on the top left of the instrument cluster.
