Seems like you have plenty of experience with the toyota/honda performance cars you had all your life.
If you know anything about cars you wouldn't buy a 300+hp daily driver and come in to cry about the MPG.

08 37S 6SP w/ Navigation
New to the forum. Owned Toyota and Honda all my life. Looking at a 08 G37S Coupe. 89000 kms. power train warranty is to 110,000 kms Over all good shape. What are the problems with these cars I should know. Coming from non Nissan products owner with NEVER any problems. Heard about clutch issues. Cant understand why clutches go at 30,000 kms

Thanks In Advance

3. Why did this car come with summer tires and NOT all seasons?
4. Fuel economy is very poor. it is not a pig on gas its a bastard on gas.
1. What in your opinion is a "performance car?" List: Fastest Cars Under $50,000 - Infiniti G37 - Forbes.com

2,3,4 I'll answer collectively. Look among the specifications of what you bought, a G37Sports edition. and they are all characteristics of a sports car. Higher maintenance, higher grade fuel, stickier tires, higher fuel consumption.
I will get on a limb and say NONE of your previous honda/toyotas have the performance of the G37S

Yeah, basically. Premium fuel has nothing to do with performance or luxury. You could have a luxury or performance car that runs on regular gas. It's just that most modern luxury and performance cars have high compression ratio engines and thus require premium.

Wow, such remorse! I feel bad for you man.

Did you even research about the car before buying it?

Trade in your G for a Camry.... I've heard they perform well.

Dude, you need to chill. If you don't think it is a performance car then don't call it that. Who cares, call is a coupe then, call it whatever the hell you want. If you bought it for looks good job, leave it at that. And once again, you don't need premium gas, just put regular in.

Sure you do. Why does it say "premium gas required" on the gas filler cap and in the manual?

You can use regular gas but it's not recommended. All high compression engines recommend or require that you use premium.

Please dont tell me that when he said performance car, all you compare is 1/4 mile. There are other ways to measure a cars perfomance than 1/4 mile or street light to street light. The Elise is a level far above the G37 when it comes to perfomance on a track. (Though driver mod makes a huge difference)

From: Framingham Ma,
How many of us ever track the car? Why would you want a track car to go get groceries, or go out to eat dinner? The 1/4 and 0-60 is real world thing we use everyday, not lateral G's and laps times..

Do you race from stoplights every day?

5-60 and 50-70 are much more relevant figures.
