How well does the Braille battery work? Any cold starts with it (like 10-20 degrees)?

I agree about the exhaust saving a worthy amount of weight! When I installed my Fast Intentions, I could lift the entire system on my own. My stock exhaust, I needed another person to help me lifting. When paired with headers and some other exhuast-related stuff you mentioned, you'll be saving a good amount there as well!

@ Mike: I think im gonna stick with the stock fronts, they are just perfect for daily driving. Takes a lot of bumps away from the suspension, the car feels much smoother and comfortable for dailying. Nice seats though, and I really missed the heated seat function

@ Mike S.: still running strong. I had Cold starts all spring and now already this year. We have only had a couple days into the 20's but still going strong, even when it sits for more than a couple of days.

@ Solititude: I wonder how much lighter the stillen cat back is than OEM. It was one of my first mods over 2 years ago so I never weighed it.

ECain18: Have you looked at aftermarket heated seats? It would cost under 300 to do both driver and passenger on any aftermarket seat.

Update: going back to stock on the interior. As much as I want to not always have to haul my friends around, it is somewhat nice to have back seats every now and then. I will be putting my back seat back in place. The rear panels I made are very noisy and kind of irritating for a daily driver.

I also did just purchase AP racing 6pot/4pot w/ 2 piece rotors etc. so we will see how it feels if there is a difference. I am going to have my car aligned and corner balanced when all of my modifications are completely done in a month.

mike, I did look into it I don't feel like spending 3.5K just for the recaro seats I want with heat. I didn't like my corbeaus all that much but I know recaros are nice. I still want to have it look classy but perhaps in the future I will check this out

also mike: do you have a braille battery? I know someone who races their g said their braille couldnt handle the lateral g's and got the braille battery mount. Was that you? I think im going to have to do the same ever since I put my KW's at a pretty stiff damping its been having problems. I'll come out to my car and it will have been like a took the negative terminal off. I have to resent my windows and everything

Aftermarket heating elements would be far cheaper, around 200-300 per seat if you DIY. They're fairly easy to do.

Also, I use a Shorai (LiFePO4 type). I'm not a fan of Braille (lithium). Both batteries can be mounted in any orientation, as they're all solid type; you just have to make sure the battery is secured properly. This will involve buying shorter battery mounting hardware at Pepboys for all of... 3 bucks

I understand the goal of what ECain was going for, which was less weight and no back seats, but I don't get the logic behind it. Why spend all that money to remove back seats and insert those hideous Corbeaus seats and turn a beauty of a car into a Fast & Furious dud from the inside?? Listen... to each their own, it's your car... but thank goodness you came to your senses and went back to stock. Ridiculous idea in IMHO and a total waste of money to boot.

@ BlkG-37S: you forget this wasnt going to be my DD, just a weekend track toy which is why it didnt have to be as functional/aesthetically pleasing as it came stock. I was going to get an FX for a daily, but decided I just wanted to live debt free for a while and not have another purchase. Thats why it didnt have to be beautiful. I did think it would look a little better haha, but never ended up putting the work into the back. However, because I'm not buying the fx, it is my daily and to do that it has to have all the creature comforts it came with. The interior is amazing stock and the seats are perfect for daily driving. If you could feel the difference, w/out the weight, you would honestly be amazed tho. Ask mike!

UPDATE 2/23/12

Installed Ap racing 6 pot/4 pot. There is an increase in acceleration, definitely noticeable. However, more importantly, it stops on a dime!!

Also just received my titanium exhaust that was discussed earlier in this thread. Until recently, I wasnt going to install a titanium exhaust; however, one came about.

Cat back Amuse R1 Extra titanium gold ring!

Cant wait to get this on. Probably wont affect anything much as I have the stillen exhaust on now. this thing probably only weighs about 15 pounds total though. Can't say that about the stillen!
