Schedule 1 and 2 Maintenance.. is it for real?

I was checking the Maintenance Log Manual that came with the car because my 30k service is due and not sure what items to change/replace. But i just found out that if you follow Schedule 1 and 2 maintenance you don't need to Replace Differential oil, Manual Transmission oil and coolant at all until 125k+ miles. With Premium Maintenance i notice that they recommend to replace above items (Differential oil, Manual Transmission oil and coolant) frequently. Is Schedule 1 and 2 maintenance too good to be true?

Did you guys ever replace Differential oil, Manual Transmission oil and coolant since you own the G37?

Thanks

I did all mine at 30k.... it's good to get that break in fluid out of there.

^^ Thanks.. that's what i was thinking but if you follow "Infiniti Service and Maintenance Guide" "Schedule 1 or 2 Maintenance" they never tell you to change it (Differential oil, Manual Transmission oil and coolant).. i wonder why???

Most differentials and transmissions are the same. 30k is way too frequent if your not towing or racing. If it needed it they would tell you to change it since they have to warranty the items and they don't have to pay for the fluid changes.

should i wait until 60k to change those then?

i still can't figure out why the infiniti maintenance guide doesn't say anything about changing if you follow schedule 1 or 2.

I agree 100%.
Frequent fluid changes are for severe usage only. There is no advantage to changing fluids more often then your owner's manual states, for your particular driving habits.
Most owner's that frequent car forums are duped into using the severe maintenance schedule when it is not necessary. It only adds profit to the dealerships.
Usually the less you have your car messed with the less problems you will have.

Simply to lower maintenance cost, your actual change point is determined by the results of the inspection instead of a flat best practice. One of those intervals is going to come with a recommendation to change.
