Excellent thread, I thought mine was an isolated case since I hadn't noticed the tapping noise before. I'll take it to the dealer today to address since its under warranty, I'm sure they will have heard the same complaints from other owners.
Regarding the peeling on the dash, my 08 sedan had the same issue, I took it to the dealer, and the dash was replaced. Even though it was out of warranty, dealer replaced in good faith, along with peeling trim pieces.
