Ive bought cars fixed correctly for less money than non accident ones and it really isnt a big deal and I dont care cause it saves me money. When I sold them eventually a few years later I got blue book for them anyway so came out ahead in my book. Some people really dont care if a car has been in an accident when you cannt even tell by looking at it.

So....a car for 30K non accident, or same exact car for 28K that had a fender bender and got fixed and it shows on Carfax so price is lowered...Im not stupid to pay more for the non accident one..

Oh and BTW, a clear Carfax means nothing. I know of sold cars with fixed accident damage with clear Carfaxes as well as some that have had the heads off with broken parts replaced and clear Carfax. I also know of many cars that got flooded and electrical problems after in New Orleans that were fixed that had clear Carfaxes when sold later. You would be surprised how many cars have problems never listed on a Carfax after being repaired at reputable shops and even dealers.

One of my vehicles a 4x4 Expedition was rear ended so hard it did 18K damge and had to have frame replaced (at Ford dealer for 2.5 months being fixed). It also had head gaskets replaced under warranty and other engine problems fixed. The Carfax on it is clean. Nothing on it cept a couple oil changes at the dealer. Carfax isnt a required document or any law that says things have to be reported on it.

Dont base buying a car on a Carfax...LOL

how coudl flooded cars not end up on carfax? or crumpled ones?

even if you file an insurance claim or police report on that car it gets reported to carfax (i think)

the only way i could see something not showing up on carfax is if you hit a garbage can and get your buddy cletus to fix it for you in his garage

btw you'd be the only one to prefer saving $2 grand on a car that was wrecked. even if it's a small fender bender the shock that goes through all the parts, frame, etc may cause problems and premature failure in the future. is it worth risking to save $2 grand ( on a $30,000 car? ) i can't justify it and most people cant.
