Come on now, do you really believe that? They are in the business of building and selling cars....think about it.

Did you ever stop to think that Nissan/Infiniti has other reasons to package navigation with the 6MT cars? Maybe they found that the majority of 6MT owners also want navigation in their cars (I got it with my car). Maybe there are other business reasons for them to lump together certain packages with certain models.

Ironically, I was in the market for a G37 in '09, but didn't pull the trigger until the '10 came out. Back in '09, I simply wanted this car: G37 coupe 6MT, premium package, navigation package, rear spoiler. I decided to hold off a while and by the time I was ready to purchase, the '10 models came out. Guess what? Now the premium package was standard on the 6MT. So now I wanted this car: G37 coupe 6MT, navigation package, rear spoiler. The MSRP of the '10 was actually lower than the MSRP on the '09, and the only difference between the two cars was that the '10 had the premium package standard and it was optional on the '09.
Well that's nice to know that with the packages the MSRP is actually cheaper than it was before, I figured it was the same as adding the packages to the base car. Congrats on your car with all the bells and whistles, I could definitely appreciate some of that stuff if I happened to have it. I just wasn't interested plus you have to learn how to use all that stuff! I don't know I guess my problem is I'm just leery they're going to take our manual trans packages away altogether. It's kinda like the arguments from the right wing gun toters, they get freaked out by talk of regulation as if it's going to eventually lead to something else...well that's how I feel about them increasing the restrictions to buying the 6MT every year!!! Eventually they'll just take it away altogether and we'll all be stuck driving slushboxes with weird computer programming.

Does anyone know what the sport package for the AWD Coupe will include? Will it be the same as the sport package from RWD coupes? Or will it be more like the sport package in the Sedans?

95% chance it will be EXACTLY like the package on the sedans. You'll get everything except the BBK and suspension. I dunno about the rims just yet

Also the xS package doesn't have the 225 front 245 rear staggered wheel setup; it just has 225 all around.

Just curious, but why even get the sport package if you are not getting the suspension or the stagger tire setup? What else does the sport package offer? It is not like you are getting any additional HP/torque with it, nor an upgraded exhaust. Why even call it a sport package? Are they including some of the tech package items in the sport package?

And what is BBK?

Thanks for the heads up. I guess I won't be waiting for the 2011 models then.

AFAIK, the sport package will include paddle shifters, aluminum pedals, and spoiler. Mostly cosmetic stuff. I was hoping it would also include the sport suspension, BBK(big brake kit), and staggered tire setup, sportier gearing and steering ratios like in the coupe sport package.

I got the xS package as I liked the cosmetic upgrades. Plus the sport seats are comfortable.

BBK = big brake kit

easy answer......i wanted the sports seats, pumper, rocker panels, paddles and rims that came with the package.

the appearance factor was enough to justify the extra price, even without the brakes and suspension. And its not like the package is crazy expensive anyway...so whats a few extra dollars

I'm hearing that the sport package on the awd coupe is going to have all the features of the s on a rwd coupe. I'm pretty skeptical considering what the sedan gets but crossing my fingers it's true. Maybe they'll finally do it for all the years they offered the s on a x sedan but not the coupe? If only you could get a Xs coupe in 6mt..... Of course I understand that it would probably be a model with very low demand considering how small the % of Gs with 6mt are. Wish there was an alternative to the German makes with mt in this class(always concerned about the reliability) The auto G is nice but always afraid I'm going to miss the manual after driving one for so long.

I am praying they make it the same as the Sport. Dream come true for me then.
