The 7 speed in my 09 G37X is so bad, I'm thinking of getting rid of the car.
I brought it to the dealer expecting that the TSB for the transmission would apply,
but my VIN # was not covered by the TSB.
The sedan loaner shifted so nice I could'nt believe the difference.
I want the car to shift smooth -like a luxury car (think Toyota Solara SLE V6, or Buick) when I'm in town taking it easy.
if the sedan you were driving were a auto then it's a 5at. 07-08 have 6mt's and 5at's. 09-10 have 6mt and 7at. i assume you drove the 5at

I'll smooth out in once you have 1500miles or so on it. This transmission is "learning" the way you drive a little different than the other Infiniti tannies and also it is less aggressive in setup and programming than the 5AT. I had the 4 to 3 downshift problem a couple of times and it happened in the first 200 miles and then it disappeared. The service checked it and said that it'll eventually go away and there is no reprogramming necessary for that.

I agree... NEVER had an issue with leaks... Now of course; I've always had
my windows rolled up in the rain... That helps

chiming in on the reset - if your battery has ever been drained you might need to reset your windows. roll them down > roll up and hold for 5+ seconds

Pre 09 the coupe and sedan5AT were calibrated differently. Not sure about the 7ATs

The only time I've ever had a leak into the windows was when a power washer was used to clean it.... and a direct hit to where the window meets the frame/rubber led into a very small leak.

Otherwise, downpour or my normal car wash routine, it is dry.

I have an 08 coupe.

The car is going to be jerky for a little while. I had the same issue with my coupe. After you put in some miles on it, you should see your shifts becoming a lot smoother. If not, take it into the dealer. Just let the car break in a little.

1. The shifts from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd in auto regular mode are a bit jerky. is this normal?

maybe u r leaking the gear oil

how many miles does your car have on

2. When coming to a complete stop, the car seems to shake a little, almost like its going into first gear but is having a bit of trouble. Anyone know about this issue?

about the shaking problem

i think u have to check the engine cover

under it.. in the middle of the engine there is some kind of a whole wich should be coverd
or closed by a nail

beacuse once when i was installing the intake the forgat to instal the nail on the middle and the car start to shake
