We own one of the fastest cars under 50k!

Hopefully this hasn't already been posted, but I was just surfing around the internet and came across Forbes list of fastest cars under 50k and thought you guys might enjoy.

You're right...other than the new V6 mustang (23k), new v6 Camaro (23k), SS camaro (33k), new 412hp mustang GT (32k), 370z(30k), Corvette (43k)....but other than those cars, which are faster than ours, you are right, we own one of the fastest cars under 50k lol

Mustang/Camaro are just cheap plastic imitations of their beautiful 60's ancestors.

The GT Mustang, ok, I'll give you that one (even though it's really only a power house, nothing spectacular to write home about)

The 370Z is the 2 seat version of the G, so that is a no-pointer.

And if you can get a new Corvette for <50K with ANY options whatsoever, let me know.

The G is, IMO, the best mix of power/class/price there is

He said one of the fastest, not the fastest...

I'll take Top Ten Fastest. It's quite a compliment, the G wasn't produced as a straight sports car but a luxury/sport combo, but is apparently very fast for a reasonable price.

You can strike the V6 Mustang and Camaro from that list. Are cars are over a half a second quicker to 60mph.

I wonder if they meant quickest instead. Nearly all cars in the 30-50k range will all hit the (usually electronically limited) 130-150mph limit.

Yeah, the new V6 Mustang is close to the G but the Camaro V6 is quite a bit slower. That being said, I didn't really buy the G for speed. Its a great all around luxury GT which just happens to be pretty darn quick....

LOL...this is the second time in the last couple days you brought up Mustang/Camaro/Vette. Are you wishing you bought a different car?

I wonder why they decided to just exclude the EVO and STI.

I don't know about you guys, but any stock mustang at the track is at least a half second slower then my G. Even those who have more HP.

Before TTL, you can get a 2LT c6 for 48k.

2011 Mustang v6
Test Results:
0 - 30 (sec): 2.2
0 - 45 (sec): 3.8
0 - 60 (sec): 5.6
0 - 75 (sec): 8.1
1/4 Mile (sec @ mph): 13.9 @ 101.2
0 - 60 with 1-ft Rollout (sec): 5.3

That is on par with all the magazine test numbers most got with the G. Not only that, the mustang stops from 60 to 0 in 103 feet. That is what impressed me the most.

Definitely not, I love my car I wouldn't trade it for any of those. Like someone above mentioned, the G has the perfect blend of everything out there (except for maybe stopping distances with some of the competitors). I almost got a C6 with the Z51 package, but the ride was a bit too rough for me, as I drive close to 20k miles a year. I would like the Corvettes power band and highway gas mileage though.
