What is our stopping distance for 60 to 0? Iv tried stopping with the G from around 50 to 0 and it felt like my brain was getting sucked out of my head.

I saw 110 flat for a best stopping distance for the sedan - not sure about the coupe, but I'm guessing it's very similar.

That argument is worn out. Go look at some new cars...the "local" companies are catching up. My wife has a Chrysler SUV, and the interior is very nice. Corvettes are the classic example, but GM is trying to keep costs down on that car. It's many thousands less than the competition, so they have to account for that savings somewhere in/on the car.

Anyway, it's sort of funny to see any G owners bragging about their interiors. I like my car, but the interior is low rent compared to the competition IMO. The IS350 I just traded had a much higher quality interior...too bad it was boring to drive, as aside from looks the thing rattled like CRAZY from day one!!

That's the point...I don't think anyone is saying the interior on the G is superior to everything else (at least I wasn't) but it IS nice especially in conjunction with all the other areas (class/price/power). The G may not be the master of one specific area, but it certainly comes out on top (or at least VERY high) overall when compared to the other cars in it's class.

the new Mustang had made great strides in the right direction. The interior is is better than the previous iteration. The Mustang has also made great strides in road handling and driving feel. There is still some room for improvement but I think that it is just one generation from being a really nice grand tourer.

Yea, honestly I dont think the G's interior is the greatest either. But sitting inside Camaros or Mustangs I feel like I'm inside a bigger version of those plastic playskool cars.

Yeah because you were specifically referring to those other cars specified smart guy. You must be a former Honda owner with all this fanboism.

Sorry, I bleed red, white and blue but when it comes to my hard earned money, I'm sticking with Japan. When you take all things into consideration, fit, finish, handling, looks, interior, build quality, longevity, reliability, performance, resale ... they still win. American companies have come a long way and no longer are thinking "wanna make it go fast, lets squeeze thing biggest engine we can in the darn thing, the heck with handling and engineering" but still have a ways to go. And what's with all the plastic?

As a previous poster said, when you take the looks, the engineering, the performance, the interior, price, fit & finish .... the G is a great car. If you don't then why do you still own your G? Be happy!

I bought the G because it's a bargain, but there's no denying that the interior is a little low-rent. When I saw your comment ("what's with all the plastic"), I thought it could be a good thread title for the G as well.

I own the car and like the car, but I don't pretend for a minute that it has a fantastic high quality interior. It has shiny hard plastics, some rattles, and many Nissan parts bin switches. Let's just be honest here.

Shiny plastic? Maybe some textured plastic but not that shiny (use the detailers Armour All, not the regular) No, it doesn't have burled walnut or african worm wood. But it mixes the texture of the plastic within the interior so it doesn't look like it was stamped out of one solid piece, aka Detroit. I had a 1988 Sterling that had a nicer interior, but that was British. They know how to do interiors. The G isn't a Maybach but it's not a Mustang, Camaro or Charger either.

such as? For <50K the G is pretty high up on the list. It probably is the #1 (which no one said it was) but it holds it's own well

I'm sure there are a lot of cars faster than the G, but not many for <50K
